Sky TV customers are in for a treat as some lucky subscribers have received a complimentary upgrade to include full access to the Disney+ subscription service. This bonus, valued at £5.99, is part of the newly enhanced Sky Ultimate plan, offering access to popular content from Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no extra cost.
The upgraded package doesn’t end there. In addition to Disney+, Sky will soon introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to its lineup. Integration across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q ensures a seamless viewing experience, with Disney+ content easily accessible through features like Continue Watching, search, and voice control.
Further enhancing the deal, Sky Cinema subscribers will gain access to a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For non-Sky customers, the new Sky Ultimate package is open to all UK households starting at £24 per month.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on March 26 in the UK & Ireland), Hayu (full access from July), and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, hailed the update as a significant advancement, consolidating Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. She emphasized the aim of providing viewers with a seamless, integrated experience across their favorite shows.
Existing customers will enjoy the expanded content lineup at no extra charge, with NOW Entertainment users receiving HBO Max within the app at no additional cost. Sky’s objective is to streamline streaming services and offer a more cohesive viewing experience for its audience.
