Sky has announced significant changes to its TV channel lineup, set to take effect imminently. Two existing platforms, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, are scheduled to permanently go off-air on February 24. However, to compensate for this loss, Sky is reintroducing the popular Sky One channel.

The rebranded Sky One will showcase a variety of comedy and entertainment programs, including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Additionally, viewers can look forward to returning favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs. and The Paper and Ted.

Furthermore, Sky One will become the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK, which is expected to debut later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm about the channel’s relaunch, emphasizing its unique offerings and diverse content lineup.

Sky One is set to launch on channel 106 on February 24. In conjunction with this channel debut, Sky has unveiled its new Ultimate TV plan priced at £24 per month. This plan grants subscribers access to a range of streaming services, including Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app.

Moreover, Ultimate TV subscribers will enjoy over 130 premium channels like Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime. As an added bonus, Sky Cinema users will gain access to a dedicated Disney movie channel directly from the TV guide, allowing seamless viewing of Hollywood hits without switching apps.

Included in the £24 plan are services such as Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (effective March 26th), and Hayu (available from July, with select shows accessible from March). This comprehensive package aims to enhance the entertainment experience for Sky customers.
