Reality TV personalities Charlotte Crosby and Lateysha Grace have expressed shock after their baby monitors were reportedly hacked, allowing unknown individuals to observe them while breastfeeding their infants.

Lateysha, known for her appearances on MTV’s The Valleys and Big Brother in 2016, shared her distress on social media after hearing an unfamiliar voice through her baby monitor. She recounted the unsettling experience of hearing a woman saying ‘Hello’ through the monitor, prompting concerns about unauthorized monitoring of her activities.

In a subsequent post, Lateysha revealed the brand of the monitors and expressed her discomfort at the thought of someone potentially watching her children through the devices. She announced plans to return the monitors and sought recommendations for more secure alternatives.

Geordie Shore star Charlotte, who has children with her fiancé Jake Ankers, echoed Lateysha’s concerns about monitor hacking. She highlighted the alarming trend of hackers gaining access to baby monitors, emphasizing the invasion of privacy, particularly in instances where mothers are breastfeeding.

Offering advice for concerned parents, parenting website Mama Academy emphasized the importance of securing baby monitors against potential cyberattacks. They advised changing default login credentials, securing home Wi-Fi networks with strong passwords, and updating firmware regularly to prevent unauthorized access.

To safeguard against monitor hacking, Mama Academy recommended enabling encryption and monitoring network activity for any suspicious behavior. Taking proactive measures, such as using guest networks for baby monitors, can help protect families from privacy breaches.

In a digital age where personal devices are increasingly vulnerable to hacking, ensuring the security of baby monitors is essential for maintaining privacy and peace of mind for parents.
