Prince Harry and Meghan have landed in the United Kingdom to begin a new chapter in Britain following their six-year stay in the United States, according to reports from U.K. media outlets. The surprise return of the couple was confirmed by sources such as the BBC and the Daily Telegraph, with the latter noting their arrival at Birmingham International Airport at midday local time. Tracking data revealed that a private charter flight from Van Nuys, California, touched down at the airport at 11:56 a.m.

The couple’s children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have been enrolled in British schools and are scheduled to commence classes in September. While the family intends to reside in a private, non-royal property outside of London, the exact location remains undisclosed.

Having relinquished their royal responsibilities over six years ago, Harry and Meghan departed the U.K. to pursue commercial ventures with streaming platforms like Netflix and Spotify. Tensions arose within the Royal Family as the couple cited insensitivity towards Meghan’s well-being by palace staff and made allegations of racism and media manipulation against certain family members.

Harry has recently shown an interest in reconciliation, particularly to spend more time with his father, King Charles, who is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. However, strained relations persist with his brother, Prince William, the next in line to the throne.
