Post Malone initiated his London performances by paying homage to the legendary rock figure, Ozzy Osbourne. The passing of the “Prince of Darkness” at the age of 76 earlier this year left a profound impact worldwide, especially happening shortly after his final live show.

Since then, numerous celebrities from various parts of the world have been honoring the iconic star. During his remarkable show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Post Malone, also known as Austin Richard Post, delivered a moving rendition of some of Ozzy’s most popular songs.

Singing Take What You Want, Post Malone sported a vest top featuring Ozzy’s signature style and name font. Ozzy himself had praised the track as his best work since his Black Sabbath days, marking his first top 10 hit in three decades.

In a previous interview with The Sun, Ozzy revealed his surprise when Post Malone approached him to collaborate on “Take What You Want.” This collaboration eventually led to a new album production with Post Malone’s producer, Andrew Watt, comprising nine tracks and significantly influencing Ozzy’s musical journey.

Fans of Post Malone were quick to express their admiration for the tribute, with even fellow artists like YungBlud acknowledging the gesture. Social media buzzed with fans praising the Ozzy tribute as “next level” and “beautiful.”

A forthcoming documentary shedding light on Ozzy’s final years is scheduled for release next month, featuring a rare interview with his daughter, Aimee. Titled Ozzy: No Escape From Now, the documentary aims to provide a comprehensive account of the last six years of Ozzy’s life, detailing his battles with health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and severe injuries from accidents over the years.

Reflecting on her father’s struggles, Aimee disclosed how a critical incident in 2019 impacted Ozzy profoundly, leading to the cancellation of his tours and causing him immense heartbreak. The documentary offers a poignant glimpse into Ozzy’s life, including his acceptance of mortality as he stated, “If my life is coming to an end, I really can’t complain. I’ve had a great life.”
