New Look has introduced its inaugural loyalty program offering exclusive discounts to members.
Club New Look is a complimentary membership with benefits such as weekly “Club Prices” on selected items, early access to sales and promotions, and participation in exclusive member competitions.
Upon joining, members receive a 25% welcome discount. The fashion retailer aims to provide a more personalized shopping experience for its 10 million identified customers, as stated by New Look CEO Helen Connolly.
Connolly expressed, “At New Look, we continuously seek ways to acknowledge and reward our customers. Club New Look is our latest loyalty initiative, aiming to provide unique benefits that make our members feel recognized, valued, and inspired.”
After a successful soft launch that attracted 500,000 customers to join the club, New Look targets reaching 800,000 members by the end of the financial year. The company looks forward to a nationwide rollout as part of its strategy to enhance digital, personalized, and rewarding shopping experiences.
In other developments, New Look closed several stores this year, including 26 in the Republic of Ireland, as it exited the nation entirely. The Times reported earlier this year that New Look planned to expedite future store closures upon lease expirations due to increased costs related to minimum wage and National Insurance rates.
Although New Look did not confirm the report, approximately one-fourth of its stores could be at risk of closure. With 338 stores in the UK, according to its website, New Look continues to monitor its retail operations.
Meanwhile, US fashion brand Anthropologie disclosed plans to open three new stores in the UK, expanding its presence on the high street. The retailer, having established its flagship UK store on London’s Regent Street in 2009, is set to open new stores in Liverpool, Glasgow, and Manchester.
Additionally, Gap announced its comeback to the UK high street with three standalone stores. After closing its last UK store in September 2021, Gap will open a flagship store in Covent Garden on November 6, followed by locations in Westfield London and Wembley Park London Designer Outlet in December.
Gap currently operates four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores and more than 40 concessions in Next stores across England and Ireland, showcasing its continued presence in the UK retail market.
