Max Verstappen’s fortune has surged by almost £44 million over the past year, propelling his total net worth to just under £230 million. The Red Bull Racing driver has advanced in the ranks of Quote 500, a list of the wealthiest individuals in the Netherlands, moving up to 264th place from 322nd last year.
Despite celebrating his 28th birthday in late September, Verstappen remains the youngest individual on the list, a title he has held since his debut in 2022. Initially entering the list as the 500th person with a net worth just over £105 million, Verstappen’s ascent has been rapid, reaching the 428th spot a year later and making a leap of 106 places last year.
The entry threshold for this year’s list stands just under £123 million. Notably, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk did not meet the threshold.
Forbes has ranked Verstappen as the 25th highest-paid athlete globally this year, with earnings close to £59 million, primarily from his salary, winnings, and endorsements totaling £4.5 million.
In comparison, Lewis Hamilton is positioned 22nd on the list with earnings slightly above £60 million. Hamilton’s endorsements of £15 million propel him ahead of Verstappen despite his salary and winnings being lower, at just over £45 million.
Earlier in the year, the Daily Mail reported that Aston Martin offered Verstappen a £750 million deal to cover his career. Verstappen responded by acknowledging it as a substantial sum, expressing surprise at the offer.
Verstappen has confirmed his continuation with Red Bull for the upcoming season, having signed a contract in 2022 extending until 2028, rumored to be valued at around £40 million per season.
Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, providing savings of £192 to members and presenting over 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL, and more.
