Jade Thirwall, a 32-year-old vocalist who gained fame as part of the group Little Mix on the TV show X Factor in 2011, has pledged a comeback for the renowned girl band. She rose to prominence alongside Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, forming one of the most successful girl groups in the UK.
Following the band’s disbandment in 2022, two years after Jesy’s departure, Jade has successfully established a solo career, achieving two Top 10 singles and winning the Best Pop Act at the 2025 Brit Awards. Despite her individual achievements, Jade is resolute about reuniting Little Mix, regardless of the timeline.
In an interview with Capital Buzz, the singer of “Angel of My Dreams” stated, “There will be a Little Mix reunion if it’s the last thing I do. You know it doesn’t matter how long that takes.”
This week marked the launch of Jade’s debut album, “That’s Showbiz Baby,” featuring hit tracks like “Angel of My Dreams,” “Midnight Cowboy,” “Fantasy,” and “Plastic Box.” The album’s release precedes her upcoming solo tour starting in October, covering various venues in the UK and Ireland.
To celebrate her album debut, Jade surprised fans with a spontaneous performance at the Angel of the North in Newcastle. Clad in a Newcastle United football jersey, she entertained over 1,000 supporters with five tracks from inside a converted metal food truck. Her mother, Norma, was also present at the event.
Fans parked their cars on a slip road due to limited public transport, causing congestion for commuters. Despite the disruption, fans enjoyed the event, showing immense support for Jade.
Jade’s song “Angel of My Dreams” has played a crucial role in her solo career, accumulating over 215 million streams. Recently, she disclosed her ongoing struggle with avoiding the use of Ozempic following years of battling eating disorders. In an interview with The Guardian, she admitted her daily conflict, stating, “I have a daily battle with myself not to go on Ozempic.” Although some individuals use Ozempic for weight loss, it is only approved for managing diabetes symptoms.
