Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to appear publicly together soon to accept an esteemed award for their charitable endeavors. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will head to New York City in October to be honored with the Humanitarians of the Year Award by Project Healthy Minds. This recognition applauds their efforts to enhance online safety for families and youth.

As reported by People magazine, the couple will receive the accolade at the World Mental Health Day Gala hosted by the non-profit organization on October 9. Subsequently, they will engage in another event in New York City the following day. On October 10, Harry and Meghan will participate in Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Festival, where their Archewell Foundation is collaborating on discussions with influential figures in the mental health field.

In a statement, the Sussexes expressed their dedication to advocating for online safety, emphasizing the significance of their work with families and young people. They highlighted their partnership with Project Healthy Minds as a critical endeavor to address contemporary societal challenges.

Established in 2020, The Archewell Foundation, founded by Harry and Meghan, aims to make a positive impact through initiatives like The Parent’s Network, which supports families affected by online harm. The couple draw inspiration from their children, Archie and Lilibet, in their mission to create a safer digital environment.

The Archewell Foundation’s Lost Screen Memorial, unveiled in New York in April, will be exhibited at the upcoming festival, paying tribute to children who have suffered due to social media-related issues. The couple previously attended a private vigil at the memorial site in the spring.

The New York trip follows the couple’s recent joint appearance at the One805LIVE! Concert, where they participated in raising funds for mental wellness programs for first responders in Santa Barbara County. Harry presented an award at the event, held at Kevin Costner’s estate in California.
