Jena Sims, the spouse of golf sensation Brooks Koepka from LIV Golf and a five-time major champion, has revealed the heartbreaking news of their recent miscarriage. Sims, aged 36, took to Instagram on Monday to share that at 16 weeks into her pregnancy, the heartbeat of their unborn child had ceased.
The loss has deeply affected both Jena and Brooks, but she aims to bring attention to the issue of pregnancy loss for other women and couples going through similar challenges. “At 16 weeks, we found out that our baby’s heart had stopped beating,” Sims shared on social media. “This is a sorrow no parent can truly prepare for. Despite our devastation, we hold onto hope of expanding our family in the future.”
Sims emphasized the need for increased awareness and support for women’s reproductive health, stating, “Too often, these hardships are endured silently. There is still much more research and advocacy required to better address and aid women facing pregnancy loss and infertility.”
For those undergoing or who have experienced pregnancy loss or infertility, she offered words of solace, “If you’re going through this, please know you are not alone.” Sims also acknowledged the healthcare professionals who regularly deliver such heartbreaking news, acknowledging the emotional toll it takes on them.
Her heartfelt message garnered over 20,000 likes and more than 800 comments within the first 19 hours, with notable figures like reporter Amanda Balionis and influencer Paige Spiranac expressing their support.
Sims, known for her work as an actress and model, crossed paths with Brooks at the 2015 Masters tournament. The couple, who exchanged vows in 2022, welcomed their son, Crew, in 2023. She praised her husband as an exceptional father, recounting the challenges they faced when Crew was born prematurely and required extensive medical care for congenital torticollis.
Reflecting on fatherhood, Koepka remarked, “Becoming a father has profoundly changed my life in the past four years. Having a son has shifted my outlook on life, not just in golf. Golf used to be everything to me, but having Crew has definitely altered my perspective.”
In the recent LIV Golf season, Koepka achieved two top-10 finishes, notably securing second place in Singapore, his best performance of the year. While he faced setbacks in some major tournaments, including missing the cut in three and finishing T12 in the US Open, his most recent competition saw him place T15 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
Sky has introduced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and access to over 1,400 live matches across various leagues, including the Premier League and EFL. The upcoming season will feature at least 215 live Premier League games, an increase of up to 100 matches compared to the previous season.
