A heartbreaking road accident claimed the lives of a father and his baby daughter, while the mother and son are currently in critical condition following the tragic incident. The family, who had recently relocated from North Wales to Poland, was traveling together in a vehicle that collided with a tree near the city of Olsztyn in northeastern Poland on Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Krzysztof, 30, and his infant daughter Natalka. They had just returned to Poland from Flintshire, where they resided in Connah’s Quay. The mother, Justyna, aged 29, and their three-year-old son are now fighting for their lives after the devastating crash.
An online fundraiser has been initiated by a Polish support group to assist with the funeral expenses for the deceased young girl. The fundraiser has already raised over £1,000. Additionally, efforts are being made to provide potential rehabilitation and psychological support for the surviving family members.
The Director of the Polish Integration Support Centre (PISC) in the UK, Anna Buckley, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss and highlighted the urgent need for support for the grieving family. She mentioned the assistance provided by PISC in facilitating the family’s return to Poland and emphasized the importance of prayers and financial contributions to help the bereaved family cope with their loss.
The community is rallying around the grandfather to help cover the funeral costs for his granddaughter, as they come to terms with this unimaginable tragedy.
