A fresh batch of explosive documents related to the probe into Jeffrey Epstein has been unveiled, revealing the presence of several prominent figures from the US political sphere. Among them is billionaire Peter Thiel, known for his transformation into a right-wing activist and alleged involvement in the ascent of JD Vance in American politics. Thiel, a co-founder of PayPal in the 1990s, now leads the controversial spy tech enterprise Palantir. Records from Epstein’s calendar indicated a lunch meeting between the convicted sex offender and Thiel in November 2017.
The newly disclosed documents also implicate other significant tech and political associates of Donald Trump, such as Elon Musk and Steve Bannon.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1967, Thiel relocated to the US at a young age and later acquired American citizenship. He pursued studies in philosophy at Stanford University, where his conservative inclinations surfaced through his co-founding of the Stanford Review, a publication with a right-leaning and libertarian stance. Thiel’s viewpoints are further highlighted in his book “The Diversity Myth,” which critiques multiculturalism and liberalism. He identifies as a registered Republican and tied the knot with his husband, Matt Danzeisen, in 2017.
With a staggering net worth of $26.1 billion, Thiel’s wealth accumulation commenced with his involvement in PayPal, where he served as CEO until its acquisition by eBay in 2002. Subsequently, he assumed leadership roles in various tech and venture capital firms, including Palantir, and notably became an early investor in Facebook. The billionaire now allocates a significant portion of his resources to advancing far-right political causes.
Although a vocal advocate for far-right ideologies, Thiel is also deeply engrossed in anti-aging pursuits. He disclosed his use of human growth hormone pills to combat aging effects, emphasizing their purported benefits in maintaining muscle mass and averting age-related health issues. Additionally, Thiel adheres to a paleo diet, avoiding processed foods and sugars while emphasizing fruits, vegetables, and some meats. His interests extend to investments in anti-aging research.
Thiel’s backing of Trump granted him a seat on the President’s executive committee during the 2016 transition to power. Subsequently, he made substantial contributions to the Republican party, emerging as one of the largest donors by 2022.
As scrutiny intensifies around Trump’s connections with Epstein, Thiel and other allies linked to the President find themselves entangled in the latest wave of revelations from Democratic lawmakers. Epstein’s calendar entries suggested a planned meeting with Thiel in November 2017, alongside a prospective breakfast with Steve Bannon in February 2019. The documents also hinted at a potential visit by Elon Musk to Epstein’s island in December 2014, without confirming the occurrence of these encounters.
