Actor Dylan Walsh from the popular series “Heated Rivalry” caused a stir when he hinted at the possibility of filming twelve new episodes for the hit hockey romance show, sparking speculation among fans about potential multiple seasons in the making.
The 62-year-old American actor, known for his role as the father of hockey player Shane Hollander portrayed by Canadian actor Hudson Williams in the series, disclosed this information in a video shared on the Cameo platform. The video was later reposted by TikTok user Savannah Leigh, who received it as a birthday gift.
Walsh expressed his fondness for his role in “Heated Rivalry” and hinted at shooting additional episodes in Canada, suggesting the production of twelve new episodes. However, following the video’s release, Walsh issued an apology and temporarily halted his Cameo account, acknowledging that he should not have speculated on the show’s production details without official confirmation.
While Walsh’s comments caused a buzz among fans, the show’s representatives have not responded to inquiries regarding his statements. This incident comes amidst heightened fan interest in the Canadian series, which is available on Crave, a streaming platform by Bell Media.
Speculations arose on social media following Walsh’s revelation, with some fans theorizing that filming may involve not only the second season but also a potential third season. The first season of “Heated Rivalry” consisted of six episodes, and series creator Jacob Tierney had previously expressed a preference for concise seasons in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series, “Heated Rivalry” has garnered critical acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as the Peabody Award and the Canadian Screen Award for best drama series. The show was renewed for a second season shortly after its initial release in November 2025 and is currently filming in Toronto and Montreal.
Recently, Crave Canada announced five new cast members for the upcoming season in an Instagram post, adding to the excitement surrounding the show’s future. Among the new additions are Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees, and Priyanka, who expressed enthusiasm for joining the “Heated Rivalry” universe.
The series continues to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline and engaging characters, building anticipation for its next installment.
