Disney+ has implemented a fresh price increase on its streaming service, impacting new subscribers significantly. The media giant has raised the rates for all its plans by as much as £24, effective as of September 30th, following in the footsteps of Netflix, which had earlier raised its prices.
The monthly fees have gone up by £1 for both the Standard and Standard with Ads plans, now priced at £9.99 and £5.99, respectively. Additionally, the Premium Plan has seen a £2 hike, now costing £14.99 per month.
Annual subscriptions have also been affected, with the Standard plan increasing by £10 to £99.90 annually, while the Premium plan has surged by £20 to £149.90 per year.
Existing subscribers are uncertain about how these adjustments will impact them, but Disney’s terms and conditions stipulate that users will receive a 30-day notice for any price modifications. It is advisable to check for any notifications to stay informed.
Regarding new content, Disney+ has significantly expanded its library with recent additions. Shows like Tempest, a Korean spy thriller, and Swiped have made their debut, with upcoming releases including Sneaker Wars Adidas vs Puma and Murdaugh Death in the Family in October. All’s Fair will be ready for streaming in November, followed by the release of Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians on December 10.
A recent addition to Disney+ is Chad Powers, which was praised by The Mirror’s Hayley Anderson as “hilarious.” Anderson expressed anticipation for a potential second season and highlighted the engaging nature of the show. Powell and the rest of the team received commendation for their work, with viewers eagerly awaiting news of a follow-up season.
