Disney Channel’s latest show, “Electric Bloom,” is now live on Disney+, offering viewers the chance to see a familiar face in the cast. The musical comedy, which premiered today on the streaming platform, follows the journey of a young girl group consisting of three members.

The official synopsis of “Electric Bloom” tells the story of the trio who became the famous pop group Electric Bloom, reflecting on their band’s formation and their enduring friendship since high school. The series tracks their evolution into a globally renowned band and closest friends.

The band comprises Posey Penelope Parker (played by Lumi Pollack), Jade (portrayed by Carmen B. Snachez), and Tulip, depicted by Ruby Marino. Viewers may recognize Ruby Marino from her supporting roles in ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat” and the comedy film “How to Be a Latin Lover.”

Ruby is the daughter of Emmy-nominated actor-director Ken Marino and TV producer Erica Oyama. Ken Marino, known for his role in the sitcom “Party Down,” has recently appeared in Netflix’s “The Residence” and ABC’s crime drama “High Potential.” Erica Oyama, a writer and producer, is renowned for her work on Netflix’s popular teen drama “Never Have I Ever.”

Disney+ subscribers can enjoy two months free by signing up for the annual Standard or Premium plan, receiving 12 months’ worth for the price of 10, securing the current rate for a year. Ruby Marino’s second appearance on “Fresh off the Boat” was a family affair, with Ken in a supporting role and Erica as a consulting producer.

Ken and Erica’s relationship began in the early 2000s when they met on the set of the Jimmy Kimmel show, eventually marrying in 2005. Reflecting on their first meeting, Erica shared their Super Bowl Sunday tradition, celebrating it as their anniversary since meeting at the Jimmy Kimmel show.

“Electric Bloom” is now available for streaming on Disney+.
