Bernie Ecclestone recently divested a yacht named after his daughters, Petra and Tamara, following claims by his wife Fabiana that they utilized it for only eight days annually. Another smaller yacht of the Formula 1 magnate, located in Ibiza, is also on the market, contrasting with “Petara,” situated in Croatia.

During an interview to mark his 95th birthday today, Ecclestone disclosed, “We just sold it,” as mentioned by BILD. Fabiana elaborated, stating, “We only used it for eight days a year. We don’t need such a big yacht for that purpose.”

Earlier this year, Ecclestone also sold his assortment of F1 cars to Red Bull co-owner Mark Mateschitz for approximately £550 million. This sale occurred after he paid over £500 million to HMRC in a settlement due to undeclared overseas assets worth £400 million.

Despite these transactions, Ecclestone and his family still boast a net worth of over £1.8 billion, according to Forbes. Alongside his third wife, Fabiana, and their five-year-old son, Ace, Ecclestone resides in the Swiss Alps town of Gstaad.

Regarding his birthday celebrations, Ecclestone remarked, “My daughters wanted a grand celebration. I prefer flying with Fabi and Ace to my ranch in Brazil.”

Ecclestone mentioned that his eldest daughter, Deborah, visited him in Gstaad before his birthday, noting that she recently turned 70. His current wife highlighted their enduring relationship, stating, “We’ve been married for 13 years now, together for 16.” She added that their co-parenting of Ace is successful, with Bernie’s calm demeanor guiding their child’s activities.

Fabiana expressed challenges in restricting Ace’s screen time, noting, “It’s not easy for us to explain to Ace that online activities are limited to Tuesdays, unlike his classmates who have daily access.” She suggested the idea of introducing Ace to a cell phone at the ages of 12 or 14.

Ecclestone praised Ace’s adaptability, mentioning, “Ace has accepted this without complaints. He’s a bright, intelligent, and remarkable boy. I foresee limitless potential in him.”

Fabiana shared, “He was skiing at age two. Unlike many children, he enjoys a variety of foods and his favorite is sushi.”
