Lewis Hamilton has shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of his cherished bulldog companion, Roscoe. The seven-time Formula 1 champion had been by Roscoe’s side since rushing him to a veterinary clinic on Wednesday after a concerning decline in his health.

Despite efforts to save Roscoe, his condition worsened, and he slipped into a coma, leading to fears that he might not recover. Hamilton took to social media, asking for thoughts and support, as Roscoe battled pneumonia and underwent medical procedures.

Tragically, Hamilton later revealed that Roscoe, believed to be around 13 years old, had passed away. In a post, Hamilton expressed his loss, thanking everyone for their love towards Roscoe over the years.

Roscoe had been a constant presence in Hamilton’s life since 2013, accompanying him to various F1 races and events, including witnessing Hamilton equaling Michael Schumacher’s record at Istanbul. Despite overcoming health challenges in the past, Roscoe’s absence was noticeable at recent events, including the British Grand Prix.

With a significant following of his own, Roscoe had amassed 1.3 million followers on Instagram, who mourned his passing alongside Hamilton. The champion driver opted to stay with Roscoe instead of attending a scheduled tyre test in Italy, with reserve driver Zhou Guanyu stepping in.
