A 20-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, faces charges related to a probe into the transportation of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities have accused the individual of exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiring to commit a serious offense. The man made a court appearance in Kitchener for a bail hearing recently.

The investigation, led by the Waterloo Regional Police Service, began in September 2025 following the arrest of a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge at Hong Kong International Airport. She was found with 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her luggage. In a recent development, local law enforcement, in collaboration with various agencies, apprehended a man from Markham, Ontario, in connection with an alleged drug network believed to have facilitated the woman’s journey from Toronto to Hong Kong.

The investigation remains active as authorities continue their efforts to uncover more details.
