Quebec’s famed electric rock duo, recognized for their unique microtonal and math rock style, as well as their enigmatic black-and-white polka-dotted costumes, could serve as your next Halloween attire. If you’re seeking a break from the usual costumes like salt-and-pepper shakers, you and your partner can opt for the Angine de Poitrine couple’s costume available at Party Expert, a prominent party supply store in Canada.

Following online articles about the costumes, they quickly sold out on Tuesday but were restocked by Wednesday morning. This surge in demand raises questions about the band’s avant-garde appeal potentially transitioning to mainstream popularity. Fans have embraced them as a symbol of anti-AI creativity, admiring their eccentricity from their electronic sound to claims of being 333-year-old time-traveling aliens, along with their preference for communicating in a fictional language during performances.

For an estimated total of $210, you can embody drummer Klek de Poitrine’s iconic white with black polka dots ensemble and guitarist Khn de Poitrine’s black with white dots look this Halloween. The band refrained from commenting on the costumes when contacted by CBC.

Originating from Saguenay, Quebec, the duo emerged in 2019, gradually making their mark in the local underground scene before releasing their debut album, “Vol. 1,” in 2024. Their distinctive musical approach gained attention, but it was their live performance at the Festival Trans Musicales in Rennes, France, in December 2025 that propelled them to stardom. Their YouTube performance has garnered 20 million views since its posting in February by KEXP.

Their second album, “Vol. II,” released in April, received widespread acclaim. Tickets for their 2026 tour were reselling for over $500, and they attracted record audiences at festivals. Recently, they clinched the prestigious Polaris Album prize and the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize for “Fabienk.”

Drummer Klek expressed, “We’re just two random people who enjoy playing together, and I feel we just took a wave, which was the right time at the right moment,” in an interview with The Canadian Press. The replicated Klek costume promises a standout entrance at any event, ensuring you’re easily identifiable among the typical Halloween characters.

Though the base costumes are priced at $59.99, the additional matching masks/hats cost $44.99, making it a relatively expensive ensemble. Some fans are opting for a do-it-yourself approach, with tutorials available for creating a Khn costume. Alternatively, those deterred by the costs can embrace the band’s unconventional spirit by crafting their interpretations using spare clothes, paint, cardboard, and a dash of creativity.
