A dispute over an incorrect fast food order erupted into a violent altercation involving seven individuals at a fast food establishment, leading to multiple arrests and injuries.
Videos circulating on social media captured several skirmishes breaking out within the group, depicting individuals assaulting and kicking each other to the ground. Subsequent images revealed bloodstains on the furniture and floor of the eatery.
Law enforcement authorities have apprehended and charged seven individuals with assault causing bodily harm in connection with the incident.
The mother of one participant involved in the altercation posted a video on Facebook recounting that a mix-up resulted in another table’s order being given to her son and his friends. Allegedly, staff failed to rectify the mistake and instead informed the other patrons that the group had their food.
Confrontation ensued shortly after, escalating rapidly from a mere misunderstanding to a violent confrontation. The mother emphasized that the situation should never have spiraled out of control.
According to details from the San Antonio Police Department shared with PEOPLE, the incident occurred at around 3 am on Sunday, October 5, at the 14600 block of Blanco Road in San Antonio, Texas.
This incident is not the first time fast food has been the catalyst for a significant altercation. Earlier this year, a chaotic altercation erupted at a McDonald’s location after a customer’s order was mishandled.
Videos and photos of the altercation were posted on Instagram, capturing a woman throwing a drink at the counter in anger. In response, employees retaliated by tossing drinks, fries, burgers, and ice cream at her. The situation escalated as another patron attempted to intervene, leading to further chaos.
Customers at the McDonald’s branch initially observed the situation casually but eventually became involved. Staff members resorted to throwing a trash bin at one individual and dousing another with Coca Cola.
The altercation concluded after a straw holder was overturned, scattering straws across the counter and floor. The incident took place at a branch in Amsterdam.
Social media users humorously commented on the incident, with one suggesting the employees did not need a team-building activity, while another quipped about the absence of a toy in the happy meal.
