Malin + Goetz, a renowned beauty brand, has entered administration, leading to the closure of its seven retail outlets across the UK. The affected stores, located in various areas of London including Seven Dials, Soho, and Canary Wharf, among others, are expected to impact over 70 jobs. Additionally, online orders through the company’s website have been temporarily halted with a message indicating a return soon.
Despite this setback, customers can still purchase Malin + Goetz products through third-party retailers such as Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK. The decision to cease operations was made following a thorough evaluation of the business, resulting in the closure of stores and the head office in the UK. A spokesperson expressed regret over the job losses but emphasized the necessity of the action.
While the website is undergoing maintenance and is anticipated to resume service shortly, the exact downtime remains uncertain. Founded in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, Malin + Goetz initially offered six products catering to all skin types before expanding into fragrance, body care, and a variety of beauty products.
