Wetherspoon is kicking off the New Year with a January Sale at 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer starting from just 99p.
Included in the promotion are various discounted drinks such as a pint of Worthington’s beer at 99p, Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99.
The sale also features a wide range of low-alcohol and alcohol-free beverages, including Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69.
Additionally, Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa will be available for 99p each, alongside discounts on Wetherspoon food items. Options include an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
Customers can also enjoy a choice of six jacket potatoes for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink, with fillings such as tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables.
For an additional 99p, customers can add an extra filling or side salad to their jacket potato. New gourmet jacket potatoes are also introduced, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.
These gourmet options include loaded spuds with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, a vegetarian Mexican spud with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, tortilla chips, chillies, and coriander, and a smoky potato topped with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, chipotle mayo, and chillies.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin expressed that the January Sale aligns with traditional retail sales in January and aims to cater to a diverse range of tastes with the extensive drink and food offerings, including a variety of low and non-alcoholic options. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2 and from January 3 in Scotland, running until January 15, with prices potentially varying at the other 200 Wetherspoon venues.
