Co-op is gearing up to launch 11 new stores this week, spanning from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands, including the first permanent retail presence at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.
The new store openings consist of a mix of fresh outlets, franchise-operated locations, and stores reopening after redesigns. This initiative is part of Co-op’s investment plan to revamp over 200 stores by 2024/25.
This recent list is part of the 50 stores that Co-op confirmed would open in November and December, just in time for the holiday season. Co-op is advocating for business rates reform in the upcoming Budget.
Kate McCrae, Co-op Operations Director, expressed the focus on establishing local stores as community hubs that cater to the needs of residents and contribute to local life. The company is dedicated to supporting the high street, creating jobs, and endorsing British farmers and suppliers.
Co-op recently introduced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, reward schemes, and special deals to its membership program. Shoppers can potentially save over £90 from October to December, with monthly prize draws for every £5 spent in-store or online.
Rachel Halter, Director of Membership at Co-op, emphasized the commitment to delivering added value to member owners through improved personalized offers and expanded access to various benefits, ensuring that members can enjoy significant savings on their preferred products.
By continuing to innovate and reward its members, Co-op aims to deliver exceptional value and enhance the shopping experience for loyal customers.
