Cove UK, the umbrella company of multiple holiday parks in the UK, has gone into administration. The development impacts a total of 11 sites, including eight managed by Argyll Holidays, which was acquired by Cove UK for £100 million in 2022.
The affected holiday parks comprise Solway Holiday Park, Gwel an Mor Resort, and Springwood Holiday Park. Administrators are currently exploring options for selling the business and have informed owners of the situation through letters.
If you have a reservation with any of the resorts, administrators advise reaching out to the site manager. The resorts involved in the administration process are as follows:
– Argyll Holidays
– Solway Holiday Park
– Gwel an Mor Resort
– Springwood Holiday Park
Seal Bay Resort in West Sussex remains unaffected and is operating normally. Alvarez & Marsal Europe has been appointed to oversee the administration for Cove Communities Holiday Park UK Holdco Limited (HPUK) and its subsidiaries.
Alvarez & Marsal Europe stated, “Our primary focus as administrators is to facilitate a seamless transition and maintain stability at the parks. We are striving to ensure uninterrupted day-to-day operations. Owners, residents, and holidaymakers should not experience any disruptions and can reach out to site managers with any queries.”
A spokesperson from Cove UK confirmed, “Administrators have been appointed to Cove Communities Holiday Park HoldCo Limited and its subsidiaries, affecting several holiday parks across the UK. Seal Bay, our flagship resort under Cove UK, remains outside the administration process and is operating normally for our guests and owners.”
“Our commitment remains centered on customer service and executing our long-term plans. We are grateful for the ongoing support of our staff, owners, and customers.”
