British sporting legend Jenson Button, a former Formula 1 champion, is set to conclude his illustrious racing career after years of competition. Having left F1 in 2016, Button has since participated in the World Endurance Championship, with his final professional drive scheduled for the upcoming eight-hour race in Bahrain.

Renowned for his insightful analysis as a Sky Sports pundit, Button’s legacy includes his remarkable F1 achievements, notably his victory in the 2009 season. Despite challenges along the way, including his departure from Renault just before their rise to dominance, Button persevered and eventually secured his first F1 win with Honda in 2006.

Following a tumultuous period when Honda withdrew from F1, Button found success with Brawn GP, clinching the World Championship in a fairytale season. Despite the pressures that accompanied his championship win, Button continued to excel, later joining McLaren and engaging in a competitive rivalry with Lewis Hamilton.

While Hamilton’s career soared with Mercedes, Button remained loyal to McLaren until his retirement from F1. Now, at the age of 45, Button has decided to step away from racing to prioritize spending time with his young family, underscoring the importance of balancing personal and professional commitments.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can enjoy live coverage of all the action with Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes access to a wide range of channels along with complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.
