The F1 season has kicked off with George Russell securing a win in Melbourne. Throughout 2026, the F1 calendar will see teams traveling worldwide, offering fans an exciting viewing experience. Sky has announced an upcoming TV upgrade for its customers, introducing new features to elevate the live sports watching experience.

The forthcoming update will bring an interactive experience for viewers, including a smart sidebar during race weekends. This sidebar will offer tools like access to Race Control and Recap, allowing fans to quickly revisit thrilling moments and overtakes. Additionally, viewers can easily check live in-race standings.

In addition to increased interactivity during races, the update will present dedicated driver and team pages. These pages will provide fans with onboard cameras, enhanced race data, explanatory content, and improved navigation on the homepage.

The new features will be accessible at no extra cost to Sky Sports subscribers using Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q devices. Although an exact launch date is yet to be confirmed, the upgrade is expected to be rolled out later in the season.

Sky also unveiled a new Ultimate TV subscription plan priced at £24 per month. This plan offers a bundled package of major streaming services, including Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app in the UK. Sky emphasizes that this bundle provides significant value by consolidating approximately £20 worth of streaming services into one convenient package.

Included in the £24 Ultimate TV plan are Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads starting in March, HBO Max Basic with Ads from March 26, Hayu starting in July with selected shows available from March, and access to over 130 Sky channels.
