Fashion designers Vin and Omi collaborated with renowned personality Dame Prue Leith from “Great British Bake Off” to showcase their eco-friendly creations at the start of London Fashion Week. The design duo incorporated organic materials like red barked dogwood sourced from the Sandringham estate into their revamped pieces.

Dame Prue Leith, along with Loose Women star Jane Moore, environmental advocate Jo Wood, and musician Raf Beeny, walked the runway in unique outfits. Omi, one of the designers, described Dame Prue as a hidden punk beneath her culinary persona, while Jane Moore stunned with a striking wig and latex ensemble.

Jo Wood, a former model, flaunted an ebony latex creation made from plant waste, emphasizing the chaotic yet thought-provoking theme of the collection named ‘Dysphoriana.’ Vin and Omi’s collection not only focuses on environmental sustainability but also supports social causes like anti-bullying initiatives.

The designers aimed to inspire contemplation through their runway pieces, with three garments specifically designed to raise awareness for anti-bullying efforts. Despite their royal collaboration with King Charles, Vin and Omi stressed their focus on environmental issues and humor as shared interests.

While the fashion show featured unconventional designs like latex gowns and parachute dresses, Vin and Omi believe their true rebellion lies in pushing for environmental consciousness within the fashion industry. This collaboration with Dame Prue Leith symbolized a departure from traditional expectations and showcased the compatibility of style and sustainability at a prestigious event like London Fashion Week.
