A female passenger was securely fastened into her airplane seat using duct tape following an unusual outburst where she purportedly confessed to attempting to harm her father. The incident occurred after she allegedly assaulted a flight attendant.

Witnesses onboard the flight bound for Las Vegas observed Ketty J. Dilone causing a scene by shouting and making threats towards multiple flight attendants on September 16, as reported by the United States Attorney’s Office District of Nevada.

The commotion transpired after Dilone boarded a connecting flight in Charlotte, North Carolina, while returning from the Dominican Republic. Crew members had to resort to extreme measures, utilizing zip ties and duct tape to restrain Dilone due to her erratic behavior.

Even after being restrained in her seat, Dilone reportedly lashed out and kicked a flight attendant, causing the attendant to fall. A video shared on TikTok captured her verbally abusive tirade, where she complained about the discomfort caused by the restraints.

During her rant, Dilone shockingly admitted to attempting to poison her father with “roach poison” when she was just 11 years old, mentioning it did not have the desired effect. She referred to the substance as “Tres Pasito,” a potent pesticide prohibited in the US used to eliminate pests like cockroaches and rodents.

Upon landing at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport, Dilone was apprehended by the FBI and subsequently taken into custody at the Henderson Detention Center. She faces charges including interference with a flight crew and assault by striking, beating, or wounding, for which she appeared in a Las Vegas court on September 18.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 1. If convicted, Dilone could potentially receive a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars.
