McDonald’s is introducing a selection of eight international items to its UK menu for the first time starting today. The offerings include burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and beverages from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, as well as desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
The new menu, available from today (October 22) for six weeks, features a variety of unique items. Among them is the Maple BBQ and Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada, a burger with two quarter pounder beef patties, maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, and pickles.
Also on the menu is the Pineapple McSpicy from Australia, which is a spicy chicken burger topped with pineapple, bacon, cheese, and lettuce. From Japan, customers can enjoy the Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets, made of 100% chicken breast in a crispy coating with garlic and black pepper flavors, served with a garlic and soy mayo dip.
Adding to the experience are the Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries from Poland, where customers can season their fries with a sachet of sour cream and black pepper, shaking the bag to coat the fries evenly. Another side dish, the Mac and Cheese Triangles from the United Arab Emirates, offers macaroni pasta in cheddar cheese sauce wrapped in a crispy breadcrumb coating and served with tomato ketchup.
For dessert options, the new Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia provides a decadent chocolatey treat with molten caramel and chocolate ganache. Additionally, there are two new McFlurries from Malaysia, the Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, featuring creamy soft serve swirled with pretzel pieces and a choice of chocolate or caramel sauce.
To complement the meal, customers can enjoy the Sakura x Sprite drink from Japan, described as a floral and fizzy refreshment.
